Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate 2D flow over a flatbed. Then I plan to simulate flow over a wavy bad. I just wanted to see whether my case works or not for a flat bed and noticed a problem that the free surface level gets increased through the simulation time. What should I do in this case? It would be great to hear your advice. Two input files of the simulation are attached. Thank you in advance! Baran |

Hi Baran,
Before I look into the details, I have a quick question. You have W 10 0.075 m3/s. With a tank that is 0.025 m and free surface at 0.3 m, the cross section of the flow is 7.5x10-3 m2. This leads to a current of 10 m/s in the flume. Is this what you are trying to simulate? With these conditions, I would expect the free surface to go up somewhat before it reaches a steady state
