Hello REEF3D-Team,

I am experiencing a weird bug (is it actually one?) in regard to point probing. I have got an arbitrary simulation of a 2D, rectangular wave flume with a relaxation zone at the end and a Dirichlet boundary at the start with a total length of 312 m. The setup is actually not that important. Mesh size is uniform 0.025 m.

Four Point probes are positioned in the middle of the flume at y = 0.0125 m, z = 0.2 m and x = 20, 40, 60 and 80 m. When I now evaluate the velocity, then it seems as the first point probe, ID0, is actually dividing it by 2 (see first picture). Also shown is the theoretical value computed based on wave theory for comparison. All other probes do not calculate it this way (see second picture as example for ID1). I did not evaluate any other physical properties.

My simulation files are in the attachments as well. Workstation is using REEF3D and DiveMesh 21.11.

Have a nice day,

Felix

Will have a look and get back to you.
Prima facie, nothing looks wrong with your input

I can reproduce the error. Get back to you soon.

Should be fixed in latest RC.
