Hi,
Happy new year! I notice sediment transport module can set the bed as porous media, could you please explain the difference between S10=1 and S10=2 in Reef3D? Thanks in advance Regards, Bingcz |

Hi Bingcz,
for S 10 1, the sediment is an impermeable boundary and there is no flow through the sediment. For S 10 2, the sediment part of the domain is treated as porous medium on which the VRANS equations are solved. This way, flow through the sediment is possible. At the moment, we don't have so much experience with S 10 2, all of our published work uses S 10 1. |
