Hi there,

Based on the release notes, I can see that in version 21.02, the developers had 'added multiple floating objects to 6DOF'. However, when I was checking the codes (version 21.05), in '6DOF_df_objects.cpp', there is still a warning shows 'Multiple floating bodies are not supported yet.', and I still can not add more than 1 floating body in the simulation.

I was wondering can I simulate multiple floating bodies with REEF3D, or it is still under development?

Thank you very much!

Hi Xin Wang,

yes, multiple floating bodies are implemented, but need a bit more work before it will be fully supported.

Hello, how is your research on simulating multiple floating bodies? Could you please provide me with some ideas about what more work is needed to realize multiple floating bodies mentioned above? Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, I still can not simulate with the version I am using (version 21.02). I did not check the code about the newer versions so I am not clear if it is now possible to run more than 1 floating body. It would be good to check the code about '6dof', I think more variables need to be added to store the parameters about more than 1 floating body.
