Hello, I want to know how to generate focus wave in reef3d?

For focused waves, use B 92 41. Additionally options are:
B 81: focusing time and location
B 82: type of focusing amplitude calculation
B 85: type of wave spectrum
B 85: number of wave components

Hello, I'd like to ask some questions about the generation of breaking wave by focusing wave. I did the experiment on the generation of breaking wave by focusing wave before, but due to the loss of information, only the wave height time history around the breaking position in the case of empty water tank is reserved. Now if I want to simulate through these data, what should I do? Can you give me some specific suggestions?I tried by adding the B 85 command providing a ”spectrumfile.dat”, with the two columns ”ω” and ”S”.However, no breaking wave caused by focusing wave was observed according to the wave height file?Look forward to your favourable reply.

Dear Wenyu,
The quality of results and the scope of simulations are only limited by the input you can provide. In your case, since you have the focussing wave height, this can be used in the input (B 93).
The make up of the spectrum unfortunately is information you need to have, if you want to exactly reproduce your experiments. If you roughly have an idea about the shape of the spectrum used in the experiments, for example- Jonswap spectrum with a certain frequency range, you can use these values with the options above.
Without complete input data, of course, a scientifically exact reproduction will not be possible. You can only make justifiable smart guesses and move ahead from there.
Good luck with your simulations.
