Hello,
New Pointwise user here! I am trying to create a geometry that involves one large outer circle, and one much smaller inner circle. The latter represents my inlet. A tube within a tube, if you will (in what will eventually be 3D). Dimension wise, they are vastly different. My outer circle has a diameter of 70 mm, while my inlet has a diameter of 1-2 mm. I am struggling to get a nice even mesh across the geometry. I think my first attempt is acceptable (image-3), however, the inner circle is way larger than it is supposed to be. I am now trying with a much smaller circle (image-1). I am having issues trying to mesh the inner square of the O-H topology without overlap into the inner circle. I have tried to split the diameter of the inner circle as well as the lines of the squares in an attempt to create rectangular sections to mesh (image-2). However, the distribution of squares is much more compact closer to the inner circle. I was also looking at drawing curves with poles, but the poles don't have any physical length so they wouldn't be able to represent my inlet. How can I assure a well-distributed mesh considering the fact that my inner circle is so small? |
