Hello,
I am trying to generate a 3D mesh on Pointwise where the K direction is set to be the same direction as that of the positive z axis. However, after exporting the grid in PLOT3D format and analysing on Tecplot, I found that the orientation is only set for the outer boundary of the blocks, whereas the interior has the opposite orientation. In my case, there are only 3 k planes. When viewing from the -z direction, the outer boundary of the mesh block shows k=1 whereas the interior cells all have a k value of 3. This ultimately gives me negative volume errors when trying to run this on a solver. Has anyone else experienced this issue before? If so, how do I go about this? Thanks Last edited by vauntedmango; January 21, 2022 at 13:44. Reason: Forgot to add what mesh generating software used |
