Hi Guys,
I am trying to run 3D Mesh nozzle from Pointwise to SU2 simulation. Problem is in providing BC or markers to some surfaces because they are additional refinement connections or surfaces. So in SU2, we cannot leave them unspecified so need to give some boundary condition, so unable to run.Can someone help me with this why I am getting these as unspecified? I ran so many earlier meshes but never see this issue. But yes this time I made my grid from 2D to 3D. Since I am having hard time to get this Unspecified markers in SU2 to run. Appreciate your help! Attached image of Grid showing in red color (shear layer exiting from nozzle lip). This grid area is just for additional refinement only. |

Normally, for 3D grids, you apply the BCs to the domains and apply the VCs to the blocks.
However, the Pointwise, SU2 CAE exporter only supports BCs. It does not support VCs. Also, the SU2 CAE exporter BCs only support the Unspecified BC type. This was a choice made by the SU2 team when the SU2 CAE Exporter plugin was created. It is my understanding that you must set the SU2 BC type information outside of Pointwise using SU2 tools. This may be a question best asked on the SU2 support forum. If you still consider this a Pointwise issue, please ZIP the pw file and attach it here. Better yet, contact Pointwise support with your license information and they will help you for free. |

This looks like a non-matching interface. If it were point-matched interface, then Pointwise would recognize it as an internal interface and wouldn't prompt you to specify it as a boundary patch.
