Hello,
Everyone! When I use the mesh generated in PW16, it works fine in OpenFOAM. But when I do the same operations to generate grids in PW18, it just can't be used in OpenFOAM. The checkMesh is OK, so I don't know what's going wrong Can anybody help me?
Thank you very much!

Hi, I'm by no means an experienced user of either PW or OF but I haven't had any issues with PW18.2 so far. What exactly is OpenFOAM's problem with your mesh?

Well, when I export the mesh to OpenFOAM, the checkMesh is ok, but it just doesn't work. Whenever the calculation begins, the Courant number becomes giant, and the calculation stops.

Did you run renumberMesh on the files in constant/polyMesh that were exported from Pointwise?

As David said, running renumberMesh -overwrite should solve the problem.

Can anyone explain why not running renumberMesh causes the calculations to diverge? As far as I know, the command reorders the vertices in such a way that the resulting matrix has most of its non-sparse elements closer to the main diagonal.
