I have been search for an answer for awhile. This problem seems to be simple, but I have tried various methods and nothing seems to work.
In the Domain image there is a rectangle separated at the midpoint. There is two unstructured domains that are populated using the Advancing Front Ortho algorithm. I then wanted to create a boundary layer set of cells using T-Rex in Pointwise. The Domain image also shows this. There are two problems that I am having. 1. The corners produce multiple normals coming from it and I have set the max number of layers to 20 and the full number of layers >1 and I cannot resolve this problem. It seems to me that the transition around this corner would not be a problem. This is shown in the Corner image. 2. The cell transition between the two domains is not smooth. I have tried changing the growth parameter in the distribute panel for the connector and this did not solve the issue. This is shown in the Connector image I have insured that all the spacing for the connector nodes are the same. I also realize that this case can be easily solved with using a structured domain. This however is an issue I have been having and I wanted to try and resolve it with a simpler case. |

If you found a solution for this problem at the meantime, can you tell me the solution? I tried to find a solution for that too, but couldnt find...

When you are in the solve panel and under the T-Rex tab, there is a check box, Push Attributes. If you use this option, what it does is for any connector or domain with the match boundary condition, the T-Rex parameters will be propagated to the connectors and domains without having to do it manually.
Additionally, the max full layers parameter should be set to at least one if you want only 1 normal coming from the corner. |
