Hi everyone,
My name is Giang Nguyen and I am facing a problem, hopefully to get your advice. I am meshing my school's solar race car, similar to what of Stanford on the webinar, however, we have a bit difference. I attach the geometry and meshes here for your reference. The problem lies on the side surface. It has a very sharp angle, similar to the trailing edge of the airfoil, which makes it (I feel) very difficult to mesh unstructuredly. I have chosen a very fine space constraints (0.1 mm) at the trailing edges (I tried smaller size but it doesn't work as well), but the domain seems still highly distorted with high max angle at the trailing edge region. I have tried everything I know to make it finer from boundary decay (0.99) to limit max angle on the domain, but nothing works. It seems finer with structured domain with poles. But since the rest of my geometry is complex, unstructured meshes in other regions are more convenient, and we cannot join unstructured domain together with structured one; I think it is the best if I know how to mesh unstructuredly well on this surface. (I want to grow a T-rex volume mesh later so the surface mesh must be very fine). Could you tell me what I need to do? Thank you very much. https://www.dropbox.com/s/oa6h4elpd2...0poles.pw?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/dwu31chsu9...20Copy.pw?dl=0 |
