Hi,
i would like to rotate and translate a sphere created with ShapeWizard / sw_Sphere.glf. But when i copy and paste it and try to translate it i get the following mesh (see picture below). Does anybody know how to translate that sphere or how to create it in another plane. Thanks for your help Vanessa |

Missing picture.
Without it I can make a guess. Be sure to copy and translate everything - database, connectors and domains. Otherwise I'll wait for picture. |

I don't have problem copy/translating a 1/4 of a sphere created with the ShapeWizard script.
Can you describe in more detail who you did so? E.g. selected the domain, CTRL+C, CTRL+V, Translate mode, enter translation parameters, click OK If that's not it, you may have run into a bug. Which version of Pointwise are you using (get version from Help>About)? |

I am wondering because i used a a hundred times before and it worked in that way:
Create Sphere via shapeWizard: 1/2, default parameter CTRL+A, CTRL+c, CTRL+v, Translate, Offset Vector: 0 0 15 --> then i get the first picture! CTRL+A, CTRL+c, CTRL+v, Rotate, angle: 90 --> then i get the second picture! It seems like one half isn't translated or rotated.... my version is: Pointwise V17.1 Release 4 -- Optimized Build 0165121614 (2013-09-12 16:14:00) Windows 64-bit (should there be any database? I just get 1 domain, 4 cons and 4 spacing constraints) Thank You |

The newest version is V17.2 R1 so you might want to upgrade to that version. If that doesn't help, you should email Pointwise support (support@pointwise.com) with a description of the issue. Before you attached that picture, I "guessed" there was a database but there need not be one. |

Are you sure all the connectors are getting selected/copied? Be sure your selection mask settings are correct.
The image looks to me like only the domain is getting pasted/translated and it is stretching back to the original, now shared, connector. |

That was the problem. I think I didn't select all entities... I haven't recognized it at that time - the next time I started PW and tried it it worked and I was really confused
Thank you ))) |
