I'd like to make prism mesh around space plane.
my supervisor asked me to make prism mesh so large that it can capture bow shock in front of the space plane. I generated unstructured surface mesh on the plane, but it seems really difficult to extrude as high as I expected. so, I'm trying to make structured grid at first, then I'd like to divide each cells into 2pieces, then I can get prism. Is it possible? Or could you give me some idea to make prism around complicated-shape space plane? |

Hi Masaru:
You cannot decompose hex cells into prisms. Therefore, you'll need to extrude your prism layers farther. Without knowing the shape of your space plane or the quality of your surface mesh, it's difficult to say what's preventing it from extruding as far as you'd like. My suggestion would be to contact our technical support team at support@pointwise.com and they can help you. Best Regards
