Can you suggest me innovative topic for PhD. Ventilation, engine combustion or other topics. your suggestions are welcome and thank you in advance. - Hari V.B. |

Well I have a bachelor in automotive engineering, from UH and I remember taht my professor had a Caterham Super 7 that felt quite uncomfortable driving with while the roof was down.
the front window had a very acute rake angle and the aerodynamics of the whole car was affecting the passenger's inside (reverse flow and all that). I was proposed back then (10 years back) to evaluate the CFD potential in modeling the flow around the vehicle and from there proposing what could be done in order to improve the flow around and therefore within the cabin. The Bubble of air recirculating within the cabin and all the trailing vortexes in that boundary. It was mainly a body aerodynamics challenge which I haven't completed but had risen quite some interest at Caterham Cars -back then at least- and they even sent a representative to my final year presentation. Let me know your thoughts and considerations Gai |

If you wish to move to aerodynamics use of CFD then I know that aerodynamics of a turning wheel has been a major issue to investigate, you may wish to add on top of that yaw angle and you have a cool assignment that could interest F1 teams.
as a matter of fact they are flaring of the wheel hub and rim for this purpose. Cheers Gai |

I am doing a project now that is about the flow distribuion within the airplane cabin, which i want to insert a pollutant source, but once I did it, it will not convergent, furthermore, when i doing 2d simulation it will be easy to caonvergent and if i do a 3d model, it will not convergent at all, however all the other boundary condition are all the same. this is making really confused. I saw you are a expert and if you are interst my project please do help me and email me please. my email: xiaoqiweilife@gmail. thanks a lot. |
