Default Plant Menu

We are running Phoenics 3.6.1. I use the Plant Menu through Phoenics VR (>Run >Pre-Processor >Plant) to setup variables and write equations into the q1 file. Lately, I can open the Plant Menu once after initially booting my computer. I'll setup a few variables, write an equation, then close the Plant Menu. I check the q1 file to make sure the statements have been written. After closing the q1 file, I'll try to start the Plant Menu again, but only a blank gray window pops up with the hourglass icon. I have to use the Task Manager to end the Plant Menu task which is reported as unresponsive.

Restarting Phoenics does not help. I've also uninstalled and re-installed the software, but still have the same problem. Although inconsistent, if I cold-boot the computer, I can open up the Plant Menu again, but only once.

I'm not sure if there is a setting somewhere that, once modifications are made to the q1 file, the Plant Menu cannot restart; or potentially a memory mapping issue.

Any ideas?
