Hi all I am modelling a closed rectangular shaped loop with 1/2'' pipe size, to study natural circulation of water. I am using BFC technique to make elobows and straight parts. But I am finding it difficult to join the ends of the pipe. Please help.

I am also modeling the same type of loop for natural circulation study. Already some months ago you started the work, by now you might have got some idea and formulated. Please share the same with me with regards Narendar

Hi Narendar
I got some results using PARSOL. A solid block within which a closed loop empty space can be created in any CAD software and import to PHOENICS as .stl file. But it requires lot of mesh and the solid part also has unnecessarily to be solved. I am still trying to solve it by BFC. Please share some ideas how to close the loop. |
