Source term for the mass conservation

hi, can I add any source term q to the mass conservation equation in order to have the following equation :
d(rho)/dt + div (rho vel)= q best regards. |

Hi Mehdi,
It is possible to add a source term to mass balance equation, but are going to have sources throughout the whole dominium? I think you may create an In-Form command like this one in group 13 of q1: inform 13begin (source of P1 at PATCH is q with FIXV) inform 13end This means that you will have a constant value entering the dominium. Search in POLIS>I>In-form>sources. You must be careful about the [q] units. In case you have an inlet, you must provide some sources to u,v and w equations If you intend to have this source for the whole dominium, just cut the "at patch" part of the inform statement. This can be done through ground as well. Is it what you want? I am not 100% sure about the inform expression I wrote, but it will not be too different... Hope this helps you. Carlos. |
