Question on checking incell temperature at outlet

I want to compare my calculated temperature at the outlet to my measured value. Could anyone take time and check if my procedure is ok.
I collected the following info from result file: Nett source of TEM1 at patch named: OB14 (OUTLET ) =-2.041E+04 Nett source of R1 at patch named: INLETI1 (INLETI1 ) = 6.867E-02 Nett source of R1 at patch named: OB14 (OUTLET ) =-6.867E-02 Parent VR object for this patch is: OUTLET PATCH(OB14 ,HIGH , 17, 19, 17, 19, 27, 27, 1, 1) COVAL(OB14 ,P1 , 1.000000E+00, 0.000000E+00) COVAL(OB14 ,U1 , 0.000000E+00, SAME ) COVAL(OB14 ,V1 , 0.000000E+00, SAME ) COVAL(OB14 ,W1 , 0.000000E+00, SAME ) COVAL(OB14 ,KE , 0.000000E+00, SAME ) COVAL(OB14 ,EP , 0.000000E+00, SAME ) COVAL(OB14 ,TEM1, 0.000000E+00, SAME ) From one old thread, I found this to calculate nett source of Temp at the outlet: S = TYPE*(Cp1*(Vp1-Pp)+CF) *(VF-Fp) In my case, S is simplified as s=TYPE*Pp*Fp=Cp * A *Pp*Fp (Cp=1005J/kg*S) ---I figured the nett source for Tem1 is watt And A*Pp should be the out flow rate. Take R1 calculated from outlet, A*Pp=-0.06867 kg/s therefor, the Fp is calculated as Fp=-2.041E4 / (-0.06867*1005)=295.74 or 22.59 celsius degree. Thanks in advance |

This is basically correct. Units of TEM1 source are Watts, units of R1 source are kg/s, so average temperature is (TEM1 source)/(R1 source * Cp).
