Hi
Any body can give me comparative idea of FEMGEN and GEOGRID for BFC grid generation and its utility with PHOENICS. I wish to know which one is more robust and user friendly Vikas |

I'm afraid I haven't used geogrid but I can tell you that I used FEMGEN for over a year to produce some crazy meshes with little problem. It's got lots of useful grid checking tools to help you locate cells that are inside out or overly skewed. Not sure about actually writing out the xyz files, I seem to remember there being some problem about Femsys not getting on CHAM, but don't quote me on that. I used FEMGEN at S&C Thermofluids Ltd, so you can contact them for further info (they like to sell FEMGEN) at www.thermofluids.co.uk.
