Dear all, i am not familiar with PHOENICS. Anyone know how to change the turbulence model constants in PHOENICS? In PHOLIS, it told me that "These are set in subroutine INIPRP in file GXPRUT.F", unfortunately, I can't find this subroutine. Thanks.

I use the VR-Editor check under menu

Edit -> Domain Atributes -> Models

Here you will find what you are after.

Hope this helps

In PHOENICS V3.4 go to the file gxknvst.for (gxknvst.htm) in the folder c:\phoenics\d_earth\d_core.

In subroutine SETVST of gxknvst.for you will find the turbulence model constants. You will have to change them here and recompile gxknvst and then force build a private earexe.

I am trying to get authorisation here for V3.5 to allow the constants to be changed from the VR Editor.

Note that in PHOENICS: cmucd=cmu*cd where

enut=cmu*sqrt(ke)*Lm and Lm=cd*(ke)**1.5/ep.

This is equivalent to the familiar enut=cmucd*(ke)**2/ep.
