To get data from a PHI file, the options are:
(1) use Ground. (2) write coding to read the file - but you need to know the exact format, or (3) use Autoplot. We use Autoplot a lot at Flowsolve, and it is probably the simplest way to extract specific data from PHI files. It plots the variation of a variable along a line of cells through the grid. This data can be saved ("ELEMENT SAVE" command) as a file containing a table of numbers (i.e. variable value against distance). Such files can then be read into spreadsheets such as Excel. You can read how to use Autoplot in the Encyclopaedia in POLIS. |
