Hi,

I switched from OF 1.6 to OF 1.7!

I have got the problem that i can not watch my old results of OF 1.6 with the new paraView version 3.8!

Can anyone help me what I can do to solve this problem. I do not get any error message, but I can not see anything.

I tried to post process a tutorial case of OF 1.7 with ParaView 3.8 and it run without a problem. So the reason must be inside the files of the old OF 1.6 version.

Thanks in advance!!

Best regards

Chrisi

Hello there,

A Good Morning to you!

Just a quick question.... are you using "paraFoam" to post-process OpenFOAM cases using the reader plug-in available within the OpenFOAM distribution, or are you using the OpenFOAM reader which is already present as part of ParaView-3.8 ?

Hi,

I found a solution.

One has to rebuilt the mesh with OF 1.7. Than post-processing can be done with the new verson OF 1.7.

Hi,

My bet is on you using a non English Ubuntu. I've posted today a solution (actually it's a recycled solution ), if that is the case: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...tml#post267265

If that isn't the case, we are going to need some more information to go on! Like, what version and architecture of Ubuntu are you using; how did you install OpenFOAM, i.e., what instructions did you follow... and so on.

Best regards,
Bruno
