Data extraction xy plot

Does any anybody know how to export data from FoamX or from Paraview on a line for later post process in Excel or whatever. Concretely i need the velocity profile on a line. How can i take out this data?

Octave in combination with octaviz is a good option. In simple words, octaviz gets the functions from paraview into octave...
Works nice. |

Using paraform, try
(1) filter menu --> append dataset (2) filter meny --> prove then you can setect prove at the point ot prove along the line. (3) save data. if you don't (1) prove option doesn't appear. You can select several data format but every format is encoded. Windows version of paraview can save data in CVS. |
