Hi all,
I have the same question. Does someone know how it's possible to calculate with OpenFoam or paraview the mean value of variables on given surface or volume? Thank you Eric |

Thank you for your answer.
Actually, the surface i'm interested in is not a patch. The other solution i have found is to take the integrated value (Integrate Variables in paraview) on the surface and to divide the obtained value by the surface area. It works fine. Eric |

Dear Foamers
This function gives me the value for the velocity in x,y,z direction. This value divided with the area gives the average velocity for the whole area. Is that right? Best regards |
