priyankap is on a distinguished road
Hello Everyone,

I have a fluid region in my geometry. When I select the velocity(U) to see the velocity profile of fluid using Clip function, it shows me without any problems.

But When I change the dimensions of this fluid region, without changing anything else, it shows me nothing. It is just showing me the same profile after clipping as it is showing on the surfaces. Both the cases are exactly the same, the only difference is the dimensions of the fluid region.

The dimensions of the big fluid region are: 20mmx20mmx100mm
The dimensions of the narrow fluid region are: 20mmx2.5mmx100mm

I am not getting that why I am not able to see the velocity profile in the narrow pipe?

I am attaching the figures below:

Thank you

Quick answers:
  1. To be certain of what you are seeing, you should use the Cell Data rendering option, namely the large orange cube shape next to the U field name, when you select the color by option...
  2. In the render option "Surface", change to "Surface with edges", so that you can be certain of where exactly your cells are.
  3. Because my guess is that your second mesh only has 1 cell along Y, and the first has 2 or 3 cells along Y.
