Hello, I have Paraview 5.4.0 (and also 5.6.0 also, neither works) and trying to open a .OpenFOAM file in remote server. However, .OpenFOAM files won't show up in supported extensions list, only .foam files does, and I get errors when I try to open .foam files. What are the differences between foam and OpenFOAM extensions in Paraview? Why does .OpenFOAM files not show up in the supported files list? I can't use paraFoam since I'm connecting to a remote server.
Error is:

Code:

SOLVED: If anyone is ever interested in: I set the "Case type" to "Decomposed" and "Label size" to "64 bit", and the problem is solved.

I have recently ran into a similar problem. I'm trying to generate a mesh using an existing stl file and snappyhexmesh and I get hung up in the beginning steps because paraview will not let me open a stl file, much less, it does not even show up in the folder the file is placed in.
Could you be more specific with how you solved it? I'm not familiar with "Case type" and all that..

Thanks
