Hello,


i have calculated vortex cores using the VCG Vortex Core Plug in. I now want to count the number of vortex core lines an the total lentgh of them. Is their a way to do this?

Hi Philipp,

I haven't used VCG Vortex Core Plug in but following works for streamlines. Open spreadsheet view and then choose cell data. There you should see the distinct polylines listed and you can easily see the total number of lines. To get the total length of the lines, use integrate variables filter and again choose spreadsheet view and cell data. There you should see a column with total length of the lines.
