Hello all,

I am facing a problem with Paraview when I open Openfoam results. I am simuting a 3D jet. I have tested the configuration and it works well until meshes lower than 50 million cells. The results are promising, for that reason I need to refine more the mesh.

The mesh is very simple: fixed mesh with no refinement. (if D is the diameter of the jet, the domain is 10D x 4D x 4D )

For example, for a 80M cells simulation, OpenFoam runs properly. I have checked all the generated files (block mesh, check mesh, and so on) and interFoam runs wells:

PIMPLE: iteration 1
smoothSolver: Solving for alpha.water, Initial residual = 0.0030118, Final residual = 1.98469e-09, No Iterations 5
Phase-1 volume fraction = 0.0164214 Min(alpha.water) = -0.00022357 Max(alpha.water) = 1.00002
MULES: Correcting alpha.water
MULES: Correcting alpha.water
Phase-1 volume fraction = 0.0164214 Min(alpha.water) = -0.00022357 Max(alpha.water) = 1.00071
DICPCG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.145992, Final residual = 0.00718724, No Iterations 5
time step continuity errors : sum local = 6.36611e-07, global = -3.48886e-10, cumulative = 1.75632e-06
DICPCG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.0129489, Final residual = 0.000647087, No Iterations 134
time step continuity errors : sum local = 5.73565e-08, global = 6.80846e-09, cumulative = 1.76312e-06
DICPCG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.00408524, Final residual = 9.92241e-08, No Iterations 597
time step continuity errors : sum local = 8.9695e-12, global = -1.10367e-13, cumulative = 1.76312e-06
ExecutionTime = 49005.8 s ClockTime = 49057 s

But, when I am trying to visualise the results on Paraview, I cannot see the results. Paraview crashes with a segmentation error.

Have you ever faced with a similar problem?

thanks
