Default what is difference between point data and cell data?

In paraview, we can get many results like contour, vector and so on.

When i get the force and moment using normals, i got different results depending on cell data and point data.

when i use cell data, its results more exact solution that i want.

what is difference between two things?

i would appreciate your help.
