hello everyone,
does anyone have any idea how to make a cell selection on an object in the python shell? say by a bouding box perhaps? i have tried tracing my steps in the GUI but the selection of the faces does not show up, and when i extract the selection it says my selection is equal to "None". Any ideas? Please and thanks!!! |

Beral,
Thanks for the link this is actually very close to what I need, I may be able to modify it but I figure i'd ask the last question: Do you know if this operation is available for the Select Cells (shortcut "s" key) command rather than the Clip command? I am looking at a 2-d projection of my object and want to select all the cells visible in that projection, so the Clip function you have mentioned would select too many cells. Is it possible to specify a selection box for the select cells command? Please excuse all the questions, I am very new to this and python. Derek |
