Dear CFD community,

I am using the ParaView 5.2 to plot the results from other mechanical simulation software, which produces its output in legacy VTK format. The whole output comprises the bunch of files with similar names (file_name.000000000.vtk ... file_name.000000005.vtk), where each file is the result of a simulation at certain moment of time. The time itself is written in these files as follows:
Code:
# vtk DataFile Version 2.0
3D Geomechanics - Current time	1e-006
ASCII

DATASET UNSTRUCTURED_GRID
FIELD FieldData 1
TIME 1 1 double
1e-006
Nevertheless ParaView doesn't recognize variable "TIME" as time of simulation and assign its own time values equal to number of file in the set. There was a thread with the same problem in year 2008 (see. Question about VTK Format, Time and ParaView) and at that time one could have added the "recognizable" time only by switching to the XML VTK format. Does anyone know if any improvements were done in this direction? Maybe someone has a workaround to make ParaView recognize TIME without switching to XML files? I attach examples of my files.

Best regards,
Emil Gallyamov
