Hello all,

I am trying to use the latest version of Paraview, v5.2. I downloaded the linux 64-bit binaries from http://www.paraview.org/download/ page and tried to launch paraview from bin folder.

I see a warning saying "OpenGL support inadequate". Please see the screenshot attached. Also, on the terminal, following message is printed

Code:
ERROR: In /home/buildslave/dashboards/buildbot/paraview-pvbinsdash-linux-shared-release_opengl2_qt4_superbuild/source-paraview/VTK/Rendering/OpenGL2/vtkOpenGLRenderWindow.cxx, line 641
vtkXOpenGLRenderWindow (0x2a61180): GL version 2.1 with the gpu_shader4 extension is not supported by your graphics driver but is required for the new OpenGL rendering backend. Please update your OpenGL driver. If you are using Mesa please make sure you have version 10.6.5 or later and make sure your driver in Mesa supports OpenGL 3.2.
As I understand, the OpenGL version in my linux (CentOS v6.6) is a older version, 10.1.2 (current version may be checked using the command -- glxinfo | grep "OpenGL version", and I need to update it.

Question is, how do I link the latest version of OpenGL with the Paraview binaries. Is it possible in first place?

I am not very confident of installing Paraview from source code, although steps are given in the link below...too complicated for a novice like me. A simplified installation instructions might help.

Please help. Thank you.
