Dear Sir,
I have tried mesh-generation using snappyHexMesh for the first time, and checked the generated mesh by visualizing it using paraView. Then, it is different visualization whether or not "Use VTKPolyhedron" is on. I understand "Use VTKPolyhedron" enables us to visualize polyhedron (i.e. don't visualize polyhedron as tetrahedra), but some cells disappear when "Use VTKPolyhedron" is on. (See the attatched pictures) Why does this happen? Does it mean some cells really disapper? Or, is something wrong with paraView, and do cells acutually exist? "checkMesh" is OK, I confirmed. I'm looking forward to your reply. Sincerely, KeiJun |

THe mesh stays the same, the only thing that changes is the way Paraview renders it. I admit, it's pretty bad if your cells are not the standard shapes, as often happens with snappyHexMesh. I'd recommend looking at patches (these always render properly) and using cuts a lot, those suffer from the same problem but let you convince yourself your mesh is ok (or not).
