Dear all,

This strange behavior is related to ParaView 4.1 and 4.2. Flow data is coming from Fluent 14.5 and it is exported in binary (cell-data or node-data, issue appears in both versions) EnsightGold format. The geometry is very simple, it is a box with some zero-thickness walls inside which are fully contained within a box. While visualizing streamlines in ParaView, I have observed that they are actually going through the zero-thickness-walls. That is not happening in Fluent.
For the sake of illustration, I have provided a few snapshots.

Any hint would be most appreciated.

Could you tell, how did you export data from Fluent to Paraview ?

Hello Svensen,

It was a while ago, but I am gonna check it again since I am doing sort of a same thing now with a similar geometry.

I exported the data as a Ensight Gold file with volume zones and some field variables.

If you are truly interested I can do it again and post what I found, this time with Paraview 5.0.

Cheers!

Hello Svensen,

sorry for I am really late with this reply.

I use Ensight Gold format to export Fluent data to paraview. I normally select Node values and binary format, then there are different options for the interior faces, cell zones and which fields you want to export. I always select all the volume zones, some of the interior (zero-thickness faces) of interest for post-processing.

It works perfectly.

Cheers and let me know if this is ok for you or should I add something more.
