Unstructured Grid to Georeferenced Image

Hello,
I have an XDMF file with multiple timesteps I read into Paraview fine and have been trying to export a georeferenced image that I can import into Google Earth. I have found no way of doing this via Paraview and was hoping someone could enlighten me if there is a way. My current methodology has been export as an SVG to keep high resolution - go from SVG to PNG with inkscape so I can define what resolution I want my PNG and then I overlay the PNG in Google Earth and generate a world file manually. This is tiresome; I would much rather find a way of going from my XDMF straight to a tiff or some sort of georeferenced image. I would think Paraview is capable of doing this? Thanks |

I've made progress in that I have been able to set my definition of the png in Paraview so that I don't use inkscape. I believe the idea for extraction a georeferenced image via paraview/pvpython is too get the bounds of your display or view. If I had the left, upper, lower, and right of the display in coordinates, I could write a world file for this no problem.
I've tried a view things but I can't figure out the code for getting the bounds of the display. I've tried Create2DRenderView.GetBounds() but it doesn't work. Anybody have any ideas? |
