Default Iblanked Plot3d files in Paraview

Has anyone here visualized iblanked plot3d files with Paraview? It is clear that Paraview can read them in, but nothing is clear beyond that. The website and book say it has a limited iblank capability. I am wondering if it is limited to just reading them in. I tried to visualize an iblanked file but paraview behaved as though there was no blanking. Requests for information from the paraview email list have gone unanswered.

Thanks.
