I tried to convert .msh file to openfoam mesh file. and I used fluentMeshToFoam command but I faced an error.
Could someone help me in mesh conversion? I'm new in OpenFoam and have several problems in running my case.

Could you post the error message?

Then itīs easier to give hints, what the problem is...

You have to go into your case folder and then execute your mesh conversion command. Make sure there is also a system folder, containing a controlDict.

Thanks for your help. I did it and when I try to convert fluent mesh file to OF following results are shown .
My geometry is complex and 3D.

make sure that ascii or binary (u have given in controlDict file ) or use only ascii formate.
  • Save .msh in ascii formate.
  • use fluentMeshToFoam for convert.

thank u

E.g. in Ansys Meshing you have to change an environment variable to get the Fluent Mesh files saved in ascii format. By default, they are saved in binary format.

I need to simulate boiling flow, I went through cavity tutorial. But I am very new to OF and I don't know how can I use its applications and utilities. I really appreciate if someone can tell me step by step creating my own case.
(I really have time limit so it takes too much time to find it from several articles)

The best way is to look for a tutorial case, that is similar to your problem.
You can modify the existing case, so that it fits to your problem.

Can you give a short describtion of the case that you want to simulate?

My case is a annuli which has heater inside, so I need to have constant Q B.C. and I have single phase flow inlet but at the end it becomes two phase. I need to track bubbles behavior.

2-phase flow (VOF-Model) with a one phase Q-Inlet should be no problem (e.g. interFoam).
But I donīt know, if a boiling model exists in OpenFoam...
