Question expected primary-expression before '->' token

Argen is on a distinguished road
When I call the subroutine developed in a certain solver, mymodel->passK(newdata[ik]);, I got an error as,

add.C:104: error: expected primary-expression before '->' token.

The library for my model is included. Any idea about this error?

What type of object is mymodel, and how is it declared/initialized?
