Hi all,
I cannot get really familiar with the implementations of the Spalart Allmaras model for nut, which can be, as read from many posts, be seen as a continuous wall function for nut. Basically, there are two versions available: - nutSpalartAllmarasWallFunction - nutSpalartAllmarasStandardWallFuntion As far as I can see, they differ in the way U as the controlling variable is calculated; the latter version with a differentiation of yPlus/yPlusLam and the first one with a more complex calculation of Utau. Can anyone explain the actual difference and the applications they have been thought for, esp. regarding continuous low- to high-re modeling? Arne |

Hi Bastil,
thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I cannot correct you in what you stated . I always used nutSpalartAllmaras (without 'standard') so I haven't yet checked the differences in results. Arne |
