Hi all,
I want to analyse erosion in pipe (gas+sand, oil+sand) using OF 2.1.0 To start with i planning to simulate a simple pipe elbow, please suggest the solver to use and any tutorials/doumentation for this. Regards mecbe |

Hi all,
My problem is to simulate the gas+sand flow in a pipe+bend model to calculate the erosion rate, talking into account the following

Greetings mecbe,
There are a lot of people on vacation right now, so here are a few tips from the little that I know of:
I vaguely remember one about snow, but I haven't found it again. Good luck! Bruno

Hi all,
I want to simulate "Erosion in pipe-elbow" using Euler-Lagrange model. Which multiphase solver in OpenFOAM is capable of doing this, also i want to include the effect due to "Temperature gradient (Thermophoretic effect), Saffman Lift force and Non-Spherical Drag Law. I am interested in particle tracking and erosion rate of pipe. Thanks KGN |

Hi Mcbe!
Do you manage to simulate the slurry model? I know that there is tutorial in OpenFOAM called cyclone in the MPPICFoam solver which can model slurry. But I have difficulty in plotting the rate of erosion after running the simulation because I don't know how to do it. Do you know how to plot/obtain results for rate of erosion could you please help me on this matter.. |
