Unhappy open channel flow with obstacle !!!

I am a new foamer and learning about various case tutorial.
I want open channel flow with obstacle 2D (interFoam solver) tutorial or code file (laminar and turbulent).
I have a problem with a velocity inlet profile too.
please help me. T_T

Hi!

I'm trying the same as you but did not found how to make an inlet profile. I used a long inlet to let the flow develop. But I did not get a proper hydraulic jump. If you manage, let me know!

Search the forums for inlet velocity profile, it seems to have been discussed quite a few times.

Hi,

you are right for the parabolic profile. For an open channel flow, you need profile from a developed boundary layer to the free stream velocity. Did you find that as well on the forum?

For the inlet velocity try groovyBC, this will allow you to use functions to set the entry conditions. see this:
