Hi,
I want to simulate the flow around an airfoil, and I want to mesh the domain in an o-grid (or polar grid), in order to conveniently simulate the flow for different angles of attack. My problem is mostly at the trailing edge, where I get the cells very skewed. I want to mesh the trailing edge like in the screenshot. Does anyone have ideas/suggestions on how to implement such mesh with blockMesh/gmsh or any other open source mesh generator? Hello
Certainly doable using Salome. With a bit of clever thinking you can make a python script that takes XFoil profiles and makes a macro for Salome. The end result will look something like the following.

Could you post a screenshot of the far domain? is it a circular or square domain?
What about the trailing edge? is it blunt or sharp? Mvh Felipe |

Hi its a circular domain and the trailing edge is blunt.
