Hi

The GRIMech3 "CHEMKINFile" and "CHEMKINThermoFile" are adapted to use in openfoam

New files which can be used in OF are:GRI3.inp and thermGRI3.dat
Old files(the source files from http://www.me.berkeley.edu/gri_mech/ ) are:GRI3.old.inp and thermGRI3.old.dat

Changes:
1.CH2(S) to CH2S in both CHEMKINFile and CHEMKINThermoFile
2.THERMO to THERMO ALL in CHEMKINThermoFile
3.all the 300.000 temperatures to 298.150 temperatures inCHEMKINThermoFile

Regards

Hi,friend. Now I try to use some other multistep mechanism but the problem is from some websites like the attachment, which is GRIMech, do you know how to translate to CHEMKIN format? or use it in openfoam

but the simulated highest temperature is so low (<1500K ). I do not konw the reason, and I can not find the solution from CFD-online-openfoam.

Anyone can help me? thank you in advance.
Hi,friend. I found some mechanism like attachment, GRIMech, do you know how to make CHEMKIN format like .inp .dat?

Sorry I mistakenly ask in the same post, but I still don't know the answer.

if u don’t want to analyze Nox formation I advise u to use this mechanism.
I dont want to use nor cantera neither chemkin,I must use OF171 or OF15dev in my project and the problems always occur when there is some MUST or MUST not.....
OpenFOAM newbie here. I am currently learning to use reactingFoam solver, OpenFOAM version 3.0.1. Can I use GRI-Mech of methane combustion for a burner with mixed fuel (methane-ethylene) composition? The volume percent of the fuel under study is 30%CH4 & 5%C2H4. Should I use mechanism for methane combustion or for ethylene combustion? Or just one type of mechanism? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
