Hi,
I'm new with linux and as I run my XiFoam script, this type of error appears :

#0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/nfs/public/SI/Cardenas/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so"
#1 Foam::sigFpe::sigFpeHandler(int) in "/nfs/public/SI/Cardenas/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so"
#2 ?? in "/lib64/libc.so.6"
#3 main in "/nfs/public/SI/Cardenas/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/XiFoam"
#4 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6"
#5 _start at /usr/src/packages/BUILD/glibc-2.9/csu/../sysdeps/x86_64/elf/start.S:116

what does that mean?

thanks for your help!

Hi,

Are you running this script on your own case?
If yes then there is some problem with your initial conditions or BC. Check them again.

Otherwise provide more details about your test case setup.

ok I think the problem may come from the ignition site :

ignitionSites ( { location ( 0 0.005 0.01 ) ; diameter 0.0001 ; start 0 ; duration 0.0001 ; strength 1 ; } ); // ignition time and location

ignitionSphereFraction 1; //ignition is plane

ignitionThickness ignitionThickness [ 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 ] 0.0001;

ignitionCircleFraction 0.5;

ignitionKernelArea ignitionKernelArea [ 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 ] 0.002;

Does someone know what that means and how we use it ?
Thanks

I am also working with this solver, I change the geometry of the pitzDaily tutorial and include more ignition sites, I could to run the tutorial with a new geometry (with meshes from Gmsh) and new inlets, and now I can to define new ignition points to continue doing test, but so far I cannot doing that . I think that if you did not change the files of the tutorial case, this should run well. If you are working with combustion processes like me, I think that we can exchange experiences my email is lfgmarcantoni@gmail.com.

Best regards

Felipe
