Hello
I've done a simulation of a turbulent pipe (Re_tau=200), I need now the value of the mean U...is there some post processing utilities for this? or also for calculate the u', v' (but also the only the Umean because I calculate the others with the filter calculator in paraview) thank you all |

Calculate the magnitude of the velocity: foamCalc mag U
Average this magnitude at the inlet or outlet: patchAverage magU patchname |

because I need a mean value for obtain the fluctuations of velocity...(then I've to transform them from Cartesian coordinates to cylindric one but for this I use the filter calculator) then I need or a temporal mean among the different time steps or a spatial mean in the streamwise direction... thank you for the answer |

I found a solution....
I use the filter temporal statistics and I obtain the U average and after using append attributes I can merge the data of the simulation and the data of the temporal statistic and after calculate the fluctuations. best regards Fabio |
