Suggestion for the usage of appropriate solver

Can any one suggest me a solver in OpenFOAM which can solve for the sharp interface between two fluids and at the same time which can be used for the heat transfer analysis involved in the same problem??
Also can any one tell me a link where i can find discription of all available solvers?? I am new to OpenFOAM and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks a ton!! |

Check out the description of each solver in the header of each solver.
The solvers are in OpenFoam-x.x.x/applications/solvers. |

principally there is no solver that does not exist. As long as you have a mathmatical model of your problem you can build your own solver with OpenFoam.
However there is a (not complete, for many make their own things) list of solvers available here: http://www.openfoam.com/docs/user/st...p#x13-890003.5 you should look for the chapter multiphase. the sharpness you can define your self it is a matter of mesh quality and adjusting parameters. best regards Colin |

conjugateHeatFoam is only available in OpenFoam 1.5-dev. There's info on this solver in the forums. Basically it accomplishes the same thing as chtMultiRegionFoam but it uses a single coupled matrix over all regions instead of multiple matrices like chtMultiRegionFoam.
