chelvistero is on a distinguished road
Hello,
I simulation a 2d airfoil with simpleFoam using OpenFoam 1.6.x .
Now the question: The Span of the airfoil is 0.8m . so is it necessary to create the airfoil 0.8m in z axes to get the right lift and drag results?
Does the third dimension play a role in 2d simulations for the drag and lift?

Thanks in advance

Axel
