So, does OpenFOAM work normally on Ubuntu 10.04? I suppose many people are about to upgrade to it and it will be good news to know if everything is fine with OpenFOAM.

Yes, it works perfectly when using the script that I have proposed.

This is what I used - it seems to compile and install just fine, and the executables run. No reason to think there are any problems.

That said, I'm a complete newbie still stuck at meshing my geometry, so I've no idea if it's actually working properly

I'm using the Linux Mint version of Ubuntu 10.04, and it works out of the box, following the instructions found in ~/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6/README

What are the errors you are getting?

Kind regards,

Fcs.
