Dear FOAMers
Hi
I am working with interFOAM. I have two questions:
Is interFOAM considers contact angle between fluid and wall?
If not what is proper VOF based solver that consider contact angle?
Best regards

ata,

There are several different contact angle boundary conditions in OF that work with interFoam. Check the forum for explanations on how to set these up. You can find the different BC here: /src/transportModels/interfaceProperties/gammaContactAngle/

Hi Eelco Gehring
Thank you very much for your reply
I have not OpenFOAM-dev and in interfaceProperties folder I have alphaContactAngle folder. Did you mean alphaContactAngle and constantAlphaContactAngle and dynamicAlphaContactAngle and timeVaryingAlphaContactAngle boundary conditions?
Best regards

I think you mean that you are working with OF 1.6? It doesn't really matter, since the folders that you list are the BC's I was talking about. From those folders it is easily derived what to setup in your 0-directory.

Hi
Thank you very much for your reply
In dynamic contact angle there is four private data. "Equilibrium contact angle", "Limiting advancing contact angle", "Limiting receding contact angle" and "Dynamic contact angle velocity scale". Would you please tell me what is "Dynamic contact angle velocity scale" physically?
Thank you very much
Best regards
