Hi,
I just installed OpenFoam on my Ubuntu 9.10 system. Everything works fine except Paraview. It opens up and I can select the case- files, but in the view- panel it only shows the background color and not the specified data. I can see the coordinate system in the lower left corner and the axes at the beginning. I can move the space around with the mouse, then the axes in the middle disappear and the coordinate system moves, but nothing else happens. I did not install the entire qt environment, I just installed the libqt4-dev package, as it was specified in the OpenFoam Installation instructions. May this cause my problem? I hope someone can help me. Thanks! |

Hi
convert your data to the VTK-format with the command "foamToVTK" then open paraview with "paraview" open the converted data. Hope that could help you. Regards Thomas Last edited by Thomas Baumann; March 24, 2010 at 11:09. |

In my case, paraview doesn't show anything even after I convert data to VTK format. It just show any empty block in the display panel. Thanks |

Are you sure that you can load data through the properties panel? . If not go to View->properties panel and load the data you want from your case.
