Hi,

I just installed OpenFoam on my Ubuntu 9.10 system. Everything works fine except Paraview.
It opens up and I can select the case- files, but in the view- panel it only shows the background color and not the specified data. I can see the coordinate system in the lower left corner and the axes at the beginning. I can move the space around with the mouse, then the axes in the middle disappear and the coordinate system moves, but nothing else happens.

I did not install the entire qt environment, I just installed the libqt4-dev package, as it was specified in the OpenFoam Installation instructions. May this cause my problem?

I hope someone can help me. Thanks!

Hi
convert your data to the VTK-format with the command "foamToVTK"
then open paraview with "paraview"
open the converted data.

Hope that could help you.
Regards Thomas

Hi Thomas

In my case, paraview doesn't show anything even after I convert data to VTK format. It just show any empty block in the display panel.

Thanks

Hello, jiejie

What solver are you using? Is it a tutorial case?

best regards,
Matt

Are you sure that you can load data through the properties panel? . If not go to View->properties panel and load the data you want from your case.
